Partner David G. Brock Honored by Temple Beth Zion

BUFFALO, NEW YORK - Jaeckle Fleischmann & Mugel, LLP, a full service corporate law firm, announces that David G. Brock has been named the 2009 Maurice S. Tabor Man of the Year by the Brotherhood of Temple Beth Zion. Honorees are recognized for The award recognizes a body of work, a dedication of service, and a commitment to Temple Beth Zion, its Brotherhood and the Jewish community at large.

Mr. Brock is a 5th generation Temple Beth Zion member, with roots dating back to the initial formation of the Congregation in the 1850s. He was elected to the Temple Board in 1988, a position he held until 1997. He served as President of the Congregation from 1994 until 1996. Under his presidency, TBZ inaugurated its first annual Kol Nidre Campaign, and instituted a continuing program of early Friday evening Shabbat services. He currently serves on the Temple's Board Governance Committee.

Mr. Brock is a Partner in the Firm's Litigation practice group, and has been involved principally in the defense of personal injury, product liability, premises liability and insurance-related litigation. He earned his B.A., from Union College and his J.D., from the University at Buffalo Law School. He is a member of the Bar Association of Erie County, the American and New York State Bar Associations, the International Association of Defense Counsel. And the Eighth Judicial District Attorney Grievance Committee He serves as Board Chair of Planned Parenthood of Western New York, and is a founding director of the Lower East Side Community Enrichment Center, a not-for-profit organization facilitating community and after-school programming. He is admitted to practice in New York State and practices from the Firm's Buffalo office.
